Been sitting on these craft for kids kits for a few weeks. I found them in my usual National Bookstore adventures. So far, I have only seen them in the larger store. The smaller store in my area does several of Craft Crush kits that I posted about before.
Avenir Scratch Art
I found these by accident while looking at Craft Crush kits. All the Avenir kits were stuffed at the top shelf. I had to borrow a step ladder to look up there. Did a little search of Avenir and they seem to have a whole bunch of craft for kids kits. You can check them out in their official site. The scratch art kit was 160php and it has 3 masks, 3 elastic bands, and 1 pointed stick to draw. It has a sheet of suggested designs as well.
This is my opening and making video. I had fun making it because it was really simple and straightforward. Reminds me of some of the stuff I did back in grade school. Sturdy paper, markers and a lot of black crayons.
Finished mask.
Arco Arts and Craft Diana Collection Wind Chimes
Another craft for kids kits I found was this wind chimes kit. Seems to have been repacked locally. Most of the materials are pre-cut and ready to stick on. A pack cost me 49php from National Bookstore.
There were supposed to be several kinds of wind chime kits but the store only had 3. I chose one the elephant because I don’t think my nephew has any toy elephants yet. The kit doesn’t have any instructions but has a small image of the finished product.
I think originally you could do the kit without any other tools. The heart piece didn’t have the holes so I had to make my own. I also ended up cutting up the string in sections so that my chimes would hang more nicely.
Here is a video of me opening and assembling the wind chimes.
Finished wind chimes.
Craft for Kids
Hope this could help adults get kids into crafting. I have always enjoyed it as a child so I try to keep on crafting even now. The kits makes it easier to just start making instead of hunting for materials.
