Stopped by a Papemelroti store the other day and just noticed
their postcards section.
I couldn’t help but find these teapot shaped ones really really cute!
I immediately made a list of people I know who would love this.
According to the store, they had run out of the tea cup versions.
That made me a bit sad. Tea cups alone is just so lonely! I hope they
have stock again soon.
filipino themed POSTCARDS
I also saw their Filipino themed postcards. The one I like in particular is the “Dipping Sauce” version because it shows the different flavors we enjoy to add in our foods. I actually thought that
I got the “Tinolang Manok” version.
Going to have to go back and see if they still have it in stock.
The other designs are the fruit and fish vendor. I see fish vendors like that on the way home from school. Fruit vendors I see are a bit different from what is drawn here.
Teapot Shaped postcards
These were the teapot shaped ones I bought. I preferred ones that had only print and no quotes. Really loving the flowery designs on them. The white and blue colored one reminds me of Chinese porcelain designs. I am still thinking what to do with the spare ones I bought. Anyone want one? I’ll draw something on the back and send snail mail style!
Papemelroti is a pretty well-known store here in Manila. Aside from the outstanding name, they are know for their recycled paper products and nicely designed accessories. If you want more information on Papemelroti, they have both a website and a blog.
They have been around a while. My mom tells me she and her sister would drop by the store on the way to school. There used to be one in Casa Susana, but that compound has since been demolished. (I really really loved that compound because of the old school feel of the place.)
