Wrapping Paper Book Hunting

I bought a wrapping paper book couple of months ago to use for origami. When Bazaar season started, I found out that I may have gotten them at a pretty good price. I have yet to venture into Divisoria to hunt for them yet! Been told to check there because there is a chance it is cheaper.

I was able to buy one from 90php to 130php. It will depend on the size
and the type of paper inside. The normal sized ones at 130php is usually
the semi-plastic kind of paper while the 90php ones are just paper. The bigger books are 130php. Oddly enough, some of them says “gift tags” on the front. NONE of the books I have had any gift tags.

Wrapping paper book – Small

The small wrapping paper book are around 20.5cm x 30.5cm (8in x 12in) but the paper inside is folded in, making the size 41cm x 30.5cm. There are some with only one sheet each design while are are 2 of each design. There are also the the paper and the more plastic type of paper.

Below are the ones that cost 89.75php.

I stumbled on them in LANDMARK. The problem is that they don’t seem
to have a steady supply of each type of book. I REALLY loved the European Vol.3 but they ran out of stock when I went to buy more.

Some other styles are the same size as above but the paper is the plastic type. For some reason, the 2nd wrapping paper book in this gallery costs 129php. The ones with the cute ducks are still 89.75php.

large

I was able to guy 2 large ones. This one is from Landmark. It did not have samples of the designs inside so I took some photos of them. Unfolded
the pages are 52cm x 38.5cm (20.5in x 15in). (Click the images for more info.)

This wrapping paper book I got from the bazaar at 250php. About the same size but unfolds bigger sheets of paper. This one unfold into 51cm x 75cm (20in x 29in).(Click the images for more info.)

So what do I use them for? Originally, I bought them to use for doing origami. I tried out decoupage and it came out ok. Except that I use normal glue and not “Mod Podge” that I see people often blog about. I also used it for alternate layers for the roses I made. Keeping a small collection of them until I figure out what project to use them on.

I have been seeing very similar wrapping paper books but at 3x-4x the amount. I plan to try and buy one online and see if there is a difference.
Will post back when I do.

Do you collect wrapping paper books too? Any other place in Manila that sell these lovely paper?

EDIT: I have bought 2 more. Going to take photos and post when I can.
